Care to Stay Home Treasure Valley is  looking for caregivers to join our team! You will be directly working with patients, following a one-on-one care plan in patient homes. You operate with a big heart, not only providing personalized and attentive care, but by building genuine relationships with those you serve. You are detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to creating a healthy environment that meets patient needs. Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed to succeed in this role. Prior Home Health or Hospice experience is a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assisting with bathing, grooming, hygiene and other personal care needs
  • Aid in cooking/meal preparation
  • Light housekeeping tasks, like changing bed linens, doing laundry, cleaning the home
  • Assist patients with daily activities such as moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, or automobiles
  • Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with supervisor 
  • Build relationships with patients by conversing or reading aloud to help keep them mentally healthy and alert 
  • Give medication reminders  
  • Engage patients in exercises or other activities
  • Dependability to show up for assigned shifts on time
Requirements
  • Minimum of two years of caregiving experience, preferably with senior clients
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the role, which include being able to lift up to 40 pounds, help clients of various heights and weights transfer chairs to beds etc, repositioning bed bound clients, and helping on standby by assistance as needed... The role requires physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks that involve client care and mobility requirements.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Commitment to show up to work to provide critical and consistent care to your client
  • Reliability to show up for shifts on time and enjoy providing companionship and care for seniors to keep them engaged throughout the day.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background and driving record checks with no felonies.
